I did customer's 2007 tax return, on which the customer wanted a direct deposit to his account for the refund. This means that the tax rebate will be send to his bank account, right? Well, he closed his account although I told him not to. Will the tax rebate then be automatically send to his physical address?

Yes ; hopefully the reason he closed the account was for some other reason rather than moving .

I had a client too that closed her account; per IRS...they will try the DD route, if the account is inactive or closed, it will be later...will bounce back to IRS and then they will send paper check. :)
