Landscaping, portable building, sign . . . do these qualify for the Sec. 179 deduction?

The sign might qualify. If the building is one with a long life, that and landscaping would not qualify as real property cost does not qualify.

The portable building would qualify as long as it is tangible personal property -- and not real property. See Sec. 179(d)(1)(A)(i) and Sec. 1245(a)(3)(A).
