Can an S Corp change it's fiscal year December to September? If so, what are the steps that need to be taken? I have researched and read Section 444 but I am just wondering if anyone has had any experience with doing this and how much work this would entail? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Submit IRS Form 1128 Application to Adopt, Change, or Retain a Tax Year. Also, print out Instructions to follow.
