| Q 16a on SS-4 asks if applicant has ever applied for a EIN for this or any other business. I have been an Executor for many estates, and now will be the Trustee for a Trust. I assume that I answer "no" as I think this question is looking for a person operating multiple businesses under separate EIN's. The IRS really should have a separate SS-4 for estates and trusts as most of the info requested is not relevant. | |

| This is not an official answer, but when doing SS-4s I take the same position. I have never had a problem with it. | |
