| My husband and wife clients have a two member LLC that elected s-corp status several years ago. The wife has just recently died, leaving husband as sole, single member of the llc. Since s-corp status is already in place for the two member llc, do I need to file any paperwork with the IRS to continue s-corp status for the now single member llc? | |

| Nothing would be needed for the IRS. Your state may require updated information. | |

| and you're sure that the husband inherited the wife's share? He could be in business with the young tennis pro now. | |

| Be sure to continue treating it as an Scorp, and not a single member LLC disregarded entity. | |
