| I have a client in Florida that is an S-corp faux painter. He's decided to start two other ventures: mortgage referrals & marketing. This S-corp is just "His Name, Inc". Should he create separate S-Corps for each venture or can he do DBA's for each under the same S-Corp. None of these ventures have much activity or income.
Disclaimer: I don't process corporate taxes so I don't know how this would affect him. I don't know squat about DBA's and their tax treatment.

| I would get rid of any clients I do not know squat about. You might want to refer them to a lawyer to decide whether or not the bylaws of the corp allow the two ventures. | |

| The bylaws of the corporation are pretty easy to amend. It's the Articles of Incorporation that'd have to be amended, so it can state his business is to do "any legal activity". Of course this assumes the state allows that.
All of those are legal issues really. | |
