| From my perspective as someone who has at times been unecessarily crabby, if you don't like the question you don't have to answer. This site is not exclusive and I don't think it should be. Note that Riley has never asked for a profile. | |

| As I have said before, the letters after your name only indicate what you are supposed to know. A Wicki is designed such that information provided is user corrected, and no one is right all the time. Anyone concerned about the accuracy of Riley's answers, however, should go back to being John Doe. | |

| I'm with Dennis - this is a public site. If things are getting out of hand - then we as professionals who come here on almost a daily basis should step in and attempt to stop it b4 it goes to far. But as I see it - that is about it.
At times, I see people getting ripped because they asked a question - to me - that is offensive - no matter how basic the question may or may not be. An old boss told me very early in my career - if you can not add to the conversation it is probably best to not say anything at all.... I do not care about the profiles either and do not feel this s/b as large an issue as some have made it to be. It is the question and the subject matter that is important in my opinion - not the profile that we can all learn from. | |

| Regarding responding to certain questions - I totally agree - if you don't like the blog or can't add to it don't answer it - my issue was that someone called one of the responders a tax btch -I just thought that was a bit much for a site where we volunteer our time (even a public site) However, I found it funny that none of us were willing to jump into that one and say anything - I know I didn't want the writer to jump on my case -:) | |

| Agree. Read posting what you like, respond to one you have answer, and move on. I read which interest me, respond to one for which I have answer right in my hand. I do not like to go do research and come back here (I cannot do multi tasking)and post answer.
Only reason I like to have profile so that construct answer accordingly. For Pro a short answer for a non-pro with some detail to help him/her out. IshaqInagpurwala 16:28, 22 March 2007 (CST) | |

| OK, Tim, here is a suggestion: To become a Platinum Plus (or whatever is above platinum), a contributer must author an article here on the site. Not just make changes to someone elses, but do something significant.
