I have an S Corp that retired Treasury stock during the year. How do I get Proseries to reduce C Corp E&P for the amount of the retirement. If I was doing the return by hand I'd have been finished an hour ago. :(

Between all the different smart(?) worksheets and what not I just don't see where to reduce retained earnings.

Thanks

Why can't you do it on the M-2. Under AAA dividends or distribution lines.

I may have to but it's not a dividend or distribution and I don't want it to appear that way on the tax return. I really just want to reduce retained earnings (C Corp E&P). I also don't want to override since I have five states attached to the return. I'd rather do it clean if I can.

See "S-Corp dividend (not distribution)" discussion in Proseries. Search that topic in the yellow box. I believe this discussion may be what you are looking for.
