| Is anyone having problems with Pro Series Pro calculating 1040, line 10 (State Refund add back)? I'm having to override Part III, line 15 of the State and Local Income Tax Refund Worksheet in order for the correct amount to calculate. It's not an issue of being limited by itemized -vs- standard. Itemized deductions are high enough. | |

| Did you note the admonition in the instructions for Line 15? I have looked at my own and two others and see no problem. | |

| D&T,
I see the note in the instructions now. There must have been some changes on the information worksheet from 2005 to 2006?? Have no idea what....but I am reviewing each one as I do them. Some calculate wrong....some are right on the money. Thanks for the info. | |

| I know two years ago I backed my clients up to a Zipdisk in June, including those on extension, and next year began using this computer where I installed both 2004 & 2005. I restored the 2004 clients and began transferring, but realized fairly early on, I was not transferring the final version of some returns. | |

| Im not a ProSeries user. I am a Lacerte user, but I suspect many similarities. I find Lacerte to be so good that if I ever think Lacerte is making a mistake I start looking very hard at what I am doing wrong. My one very firm rule of thumb is to NEVER use the overrides. If I'm right there must be some other way to get it into the return. | |
