Understand there is new law as of Jan 1, 2008 , requiring Ca. employers to make sure employees fill out and sign time cards. Anyone heard of this law?

Nope

Isn't it a good idea, though, that employees signe their cards? especially if they are doing them manually rather than clocking in on a time clock?

I just went thru a workmens comp audit and the auditor is the one telling me about this new law.

Ask the auditor for the bill number or the code section(s) amended. Then we can look it up on Leginfo.
