| I'm doing my first truck driver return in about 10 years (maybe longer). I don't recall having to be so concerned about fuels back then, the Hwy Use Tax was about it. I have searched IRS pubs (mostly 510), resources here at Tax Almanac and have come to these conclusions. I've surmised that they do not have to do a Form 4136. It seems to apply to everybody except OTR drivers. They are doing form 2290. I'm taking that deduction on page 1 of 1120S as a tax. Should it go somewhere else? I also planned to take his Fuel Taxes on pg 1 of the 1120S, but if that's right, why is the company he drives for breaking out Fuel Tax separately on his checks? If anyone thinks I'm missing something, would you please let me know. I am becoming cross-eyed on Saturday night at 7 p.m. Truly appreciate any help.

| What can the truck driver deduct if they live in their cab and it is their tax home

| We went through audit on this, and if they can't show they have a tax home, there is no meals/allowances/travel available to them.
