New corporate tax client needs to file 06 and 07 1120 forms. All they have are the bank statements and canceled checks. The former accountant is not responding to request for payroll report copies.

Can you get copies from the government agencies? If so, how? Thank you.

You can get 940's and 941's using form 4506.

Ask IRS for copies of literal transcripts. Literals tell you exactly the reported liability and how the payments were applied. They go on a quarter per quarter basis.
