| I bought Pro Series basic edition tax software, However I have one client that is non profit what software should I use to prepare this return?
I did not see anything in the Basic edition Any suggestions?

| I don't know about Basic edition or software you should use because I beleive its personal or based on your experience.
If you are asking what kind of form is required to be filed then you should file form 990 or form 990EZ with related schedules.

| I believe that if you want to do a nonprofit Form 990 you would have to upgrade your ProSeries Basis to the ProSeries Professional. | |

| Call ProSeries and ask about a Pay per Return. | |

| Or you can go to the IRS, click on Forms, click on Form 990 or 990-EZ and the applicable forms, and fill them out manually online and then print. | |

| No need to call. You can download ProSeries Professional for free from the website. After program installation, select the 990 form series to add/update. You use the Pay per Return option to print the return. | |

| I agree with the Pay Per return option. Its not that expensive and saves you a lot of time. | |

| I do many 990's but not enough to justify full price software. As long as you don't need to pay an additional $150 fee or such, the pay per return option is great. If you have more than 5 or 6 nonprofit returns, then definitely PPR, otherwise, the irs site is great with ther fill in forms. | |

| I like Deb's advice, but I would first print blank ones, do them in pencil or pen, then go back and fill them in on line....if there is a problem, you could lose your work.....IRS has no auto-save. | |

| Also TWEETY I will suggest to read the following IRS Issue Number 2007-3 DTD January 24, 2007 About The instructions to the 2006 Forms 990 and 990-EZ and Schedule A incorporate significant changes to address legislation enacted in 2006. | |
