Hello everyone!

I have a friends who is selling Tupperware mechandise and she wants me to help her to get organized,meaning she wants me to keep her books using Peachtree.She is not any entity as LLC,Sole..,S Corp,C Corp.actually she doesn.t have one... Can I put her as a bussiness type.. Sole P. or what should I do?Please can You help me?

I thought so,but since she is not registred with the County yet,I assumed that it may not be legal to put her as a Sole p..Thank You!

Regardless if she is legally transacting business, if it's not any other type of entity, it's a sole proprietorship.

Hopefully this is a profitable venture, otherwise the IRS may consider this to be a hobby.

You are asking some pretty basic questions. If you don't know the answer to these, then you are going to be way over your head when the tougher ones come along. Please consider retaining a local accountant to advise you. It's going to cost you something, but perhaps you can help him out with some bookkeeping. Accountants hate to do that (at least I do).
