My Bohemian Vacation begins tomorrow night. Will be meandering south with a possible final destination of Atlanta for the Braves/Yanks games. Not sure if we will make it. College buddy and I are planning on dealing with vacation one day at a time. Starting at Turning Stone Casino where I will pick him up, we will begin driving south and see where we end up.

1st stop appears to be the Philly game on Sunday or possible beach destination in Delaware.

Thoughts and suggestions and meet and greets for beer is always good.

And Tom, if we do go through DC area, we are going to Hooters.

The best vacation I ever had with my husband and kids was the year when, as we backed out of our driveway in San Diego, the only things we knew for sure were that we were going up US 395 and we had to be home in three weeks. We just kept going, stopping to do whatever we ran across along the way, until we figured we had to turn around and head south (by a different route) to get home before he had to be back to work. It was a great trip.

Have fun, Fred!

All we have down here is damp and cool....take an oil can to stave off the rust.

As a Philadelphian of Bohemian descent I can state with authority that your Bohemian Vacation should include Philly. But I believe it is supposed to rain this weekend. Maybe you should grab a cheesesteak somewhere and watch the game on tv.

I know that you grab a bull by the horns, but exactly where does one grab a cheesesteak? By the buns?

Don't be cheeky, Kevin!

If it rains when you're in town, give the Mutter Museum a try (especially if you love science and weird offbeat medical displays). http://www.collphyphil.org/mutter_hist.htm

It is open on Sundays.

lol. first leg of trip is set in stone. we are leaving sunday morning to hit Ocean City Maryland. It was decided that beach and beer is a better alternative to Phillies game and beer.

Will be there Sunday and Monday, possibly Tuesday. Then off to somewhere else.

Be careful Fred. Taking off like a couple of freebooters across the wide boulevards and meandering lanes of the fruited plain can end up disasterously. Particularly if it's undertaken with a college or highschool buddy.

Try to limit yourself to one trip to the ATM each day. Just one. Be particularly careful of making more than one trip at night, especially in the vicinity of a "gentleman's club", or drinking establishment. Avoid Tequila, even if it's free.

I hope the only thing to find itself situated on your lap would be the baseball program, a wholesome magazine, or a bag of sugar free cookies.

If we don't hear from you in a couple of months, we'll do our best to report you missing to the proper authorities (unless in fact you are being held under lock and key by such authorities).
