{{ForumNewPost|UserID=Sbhtax|Date=16 January 2007|Text=There is an important change on CD-3 for those doing multiple stock transactions and efiling. Due to the fact that IRS wants efilers to use Form 8453 for returns using a Schedule D attachment, Lacerte has had to add a section on the Schedule D input for these types of returns. It is on Screen 17 in the Misc/Carryover information section. The section is titled "Schedule D-1 Attachment Totals." The section is to be used instead of the normal Schedule D input as it will ADJUST any input use also entered in the normal Schedule D area. The reason for this area is because the program needs to place the proper efile paper document indicator in the efile summary and by using this area the program can make the proper entry. If you just use "see attached form 8453 " in the regular D input, the program will not know to use this indicator. Do not duplicate entries!!!!
