How is an inheritance from Italy handled? Is it possible for my client to bring the money into the USA without being taxed again?

An inheritance from a non-US person only needs to be reported (not taxed) if over a certain amount, which I think is $100K. I'm working from memory here and don't have the citation, but a client of mine had this situation last year. . . . ahh, see form 3520 part IV.

Forms 3520 and TDF 90-22.1 are usually in point.
