| Any good references for online searching of historical stock data. I generally use yahoo finance for shares still traded but is there any source
of old stock quotes for companies that are either gone or merged? Our firm in the past has kept 1 issue of the Wall street Journal each month for reference but they degrade in quality very quickly and there has to be a more efficient way. Thanks in advance for any help. | |

| If you have the Cusip or Symbol you could try http://www.xcitax.com. This is a pay site, and takes a little time to get used to it, so that you might spend money unnecessarily, but I have found it is decent. Yet in one case, I noticed it did not reach before 1990. | |

| I use appraisenj.com for estate valuations. Also great for historical info & hard to price securities. Costs $25/year and a charge for each item you look up..price varies, but usually around $3. Great resource. It requires a little training to use the website, but they are fantastic in working with you. Contact them & see if it works for you. | |

| http://finance.yahoo.com/ - great site with splits, dividends, by day, week, year - forever. Free, so will no doubt be limited compared to those you pay for. | |
