Wife has HSA "family" that includes child. Total contrib. $2,825.

Husband has HSA - "single". Total Contrib. $2,825. Proseries wants to call this excess contributions those the $5,650 limit is not exceeded. About ready to just just designate each single. Maybe that will work. Or am I missing something.

They're allowed a total of $5,650 - what's the problem?

The problem is that we hate how ProSeries handles these things, to the point that I'm about ready to fire HSA/MSA clients just because the complexity of entries is nearly impossible.

Yes, you are eligible to claim deduction for HSA up to $5650.00 by correctly completed the "Form-8889" in pro-series.

Once you correctly fill all the information in "Form 8889" then pro-series will not display any error.

Thanks.

Well, that and the 8889 worksheet, the MSA worksheet...and on and on. There seem to be no straight lines to this thing.
