Hi everyone - long time no talk! It's amazing how I feel so addicted to this board during tax season, yet only occasionally visit it off season - more time for doing research I suppose...

My question is this:

Client has HRA plan through his C Corp. I know the amounts reimbursed to him are not taxable, but are the amounts a write off to the corporation since this is a fringe benefit?

Thanks! Happy Mid-Summer!

So long as they were not originally deducted when contributed to an HRA account, sure.

Since this is a C Corporation, as long as the Sec. 105 nondiscrimination rules are satisfied, the benefit will be nontaxable.
