| Got a call from a CPA pal and he went to the website and entered his information. This looks like another New Clients, Inc. Referaal situation.
Anyway, someone from Good Accountants.com <GA> called him and asked if he was interested in doing an audit of a non-profit <NP> located in Oneonta. Pal live in Albany 80 miles away. He hasn't done audits in a while so he called me to see if I was interested. While talking, radar went way up. Naturally, there is a money back guarantee associated with his initial $5,000 fee to GA. The audit fee for this soon to be supposed referral is approximately $15,000. Which sounds about right. The GA rep told pal that NP wanted someone specifically from Albany. Radar again. I told pal that when they call back get as much info as possible, but to be wary of scams. Wondering if any of you have had dealings with GA. Good? Bad? indifferent?

| Did you check out their website Fred? I don't have experience with them, but I would also be leery. | |

| GoodAccountants.com used to advertise very heavily about a year ago in the NYC area.
I found out from a reliable source that the woman who runs that USED TO work for New Client, Inc. They are a highly agressive firm, and unless you're a high level firm - not a sole proprietor - you're not at their level and they really don't want to deal with you.

| I wanted to find out more about them when they did advertise - so I actually called them - and their up front fees are steep - even for a large firm.
That's the firm you go to if you're a regional CPA firm with high-end, high net worth clients seeking to expand with the same type of clients.

| Thanks Sam, Like I said, my buddy happened on their site by accident and he filled out the questionnaire and they contacted him naturally with a ready made lead worth 15K. that alone gets me leery. Especially since smaller non-profits don't tend to use these kinds of firms. His intial upfront fee is $5,000.
I am hoping someone actually had an experience with them and can tell me whether or not they delivered. Personally, after hearing the New Client horror stories, I don't think I would go with one at this point. I have considered New Clients in the past, but now, uh uh. Wondering if Good Accountants is the same or if they are more legit and reasonable for a smaller firm. thanks again folks, Fred

| If you're looking for a way to advertise on the internet for a reasonable, affordable fee - working with TOTALLY HONEST service providers - I suggest you get in touch with either Cheryl or Jim at http://www.bookkeepinghelp.com.
This is an internet listing service located in Marietta, Georgia. 1-800-284-4662. These other organizations are pure ripoffs-they often promise with high up front payments - but don't deliver.

| I got contacted by them.
They want $1500 upfront. This covers referral for 6 months. She said that she has a client with possible billing between $2000 to $4000. They are offering a guarantee that they will keep marketing us until we get $1500 worth of business. I am not sure about them , anybody has fresh feedback?

| I know this is an old post but figured I would update it, as I am wondering if anyone has used them.
I was just contacted (for a second time in the past 6 months or so). Both times they claimed to have a lead, which is just for me and perfect for me and want $5000 for it. Both times the leads sounded really good - so I wonder why these great companies are online searching for an accountant. I have asked questions such as "how many other accountants are getting this lead?" "what do you have to offer me that bookkeepinghelp.com can't" "how many other accountants in Chicago are in your registry?" and I get no answers. Their contract states that all they will do for me is to put me in their registry and they will add an addendum stating they will keep working for me until I get $5000 in annual revenues from their leads. Anyone use them?

| Nope. The best referrals are word-of-mouth from current clients. | |

| "and I get no answers."
Do you need further info? A good salesperson with a quality product answers a prospect's objections and then closes the sale. If he can't answer the objections, a good salesperson is upfront about that and will get your contact info and let you know he will contact you when he has something to offer that meets those needs. Thanks for letting the rest of us know of your experience with these crooks. Next time they call tell them to take a hike.

| I wasn't planning on hiring them - even if I fell for the fluff, the contract had nothing to offer. Just interested in knowing anyone's experience. Just for kicks, I looked them up on the BBB website - 3 complaints against them - all about the sales process. I figured I would find more. | |
