I'm still getting the "we're waiting on the IRS" from UltraTax. I have yet to be able to sign up for the e-alerts. Would someone please tell me the latest about Form 8606? I read in a previous conversation the mention of Feb. 22nd???? I have a client waiting on a huge refund and the form is a very minute part of it. He's already called twice asking about it. Any info? Thanks in advance.

That is what I posted here the other day, coming from a Proseries update. So this one is on IRS, not the software.

The way I understand it is that if I try to electronically file the return, it will be rejected. If I were to paper file, it'll be "set aside" until the form is approved. Is that right?

I know that forms "pending approval" using Ultra Tax will cause returns to be rejected...not sure about paper file.
