It's one week before April 15.

I'm finding my accuracy & efficiency plummeting.

I've decided that no more tax returns are going out of my office before April 15.

I'll be telling around 50 clients I'm getting them all extensions, since I need to put their projects aside, take a deep breath, and do a thorough job on the assembly & final review, having learned from experience that returns going out this last week are error prone.

Some may not like it, but I have no choice.

Do any of the rest of you find yourself in this position?

I have a few complex ones that are going on extension. The easy ones are outta here. I know one client who is going to put pressure on me and I think I am going to tell him to jump in a lake this year. I refuse to be pressured into making a mistake.

I'll push to get them all done although effiency is waning. 16th-20th will be down days. Will begin anew on extendeds then and hope to finish by the 30th.

I'm with Tom on this one.

I do the realtively straight ones no extension. Simple schedule C, D or E no problem.

I have about 25 on extension where I owe it to them and me to put on extension. Complex stuff.... and I am tired.
