I'am selling a piece of business equipment that has very little value but it produces a lot of income. Can I have a equipment purchase agreement and add in good will. Example:

Equipment Value $ 8500.00 Good Will $ 31500.00

Total Equipment Purchase Agreement $40,000.00

I'am not sure if I can do this since I'am not selling the business itself Thanks for any help Julie

If it produces income it has value. If it's worth $40,000 sell it for what it's worth, don't worry about how you got to the number.
