| Two clients, boyfriend/girlfriend live together and have a joint checking account. They're filing separate returns. I have concerns about using direct deposit for both of them even though both are listed on the account. I'm not sure what the IRS checks when doing DDs.
Has anyone run into this before and is this a problem or am I just being a worrywart? I'm going to ask the clients to contact their bank to see if the DDs will be accepted. | |

| If I remember correctly from last year's discussion, the problem wasn't the IRS. The problem was the bank. That said, with a joint checking account, this shouldn't be a problem. | |
