| I was thinking: Why not make a complete list of all NASBA self study CPE providers and our opinions on them?
There are threads on CPE here and there but nothing really complete. I guess I could start: Surgent McCoy: They regurgitate the tax code/treasury regulations word for word with a few examples thrown in. Some courses are useful, the smaller ones are chapters out of the bigger courses. Accountants Education Group(AEG): So far the best I've done. Very complete for a practitioner. I recieved and email from Continuing Academics CPE Tutor (CAFACPE), and the prices are very good. The titles seem to be the same as AEG, I can't help but wonder if they are the same courses? PPC: You can download the self study free and see if you like it. I find their audit/accounting CPE to be much better than tax CPE.

| Deloitte gives free CPE on the internet. They are called Dbriefs. It's usually an hour at a time, sometimes it's an 1 1/2. | |

| So does PWC.
http://www.pwc.com/us/en/tax-services/webcasts/index.jhtml Bisk also offers 1 credit of Tax, 1 credit of A&A, and 1 credit of Financial Planning each quarter for free. http://www.cpeasy.com/UpcomingWebcasts.aspx Paychex offers 12 free self study credits every year. It's nothing great - typical self study http://www.paychex.com/wiseguides/wiseguides.aspx
