I've heard about this site before but never got around to checking it out. Put my burning question on the advanced tax board last week and have found quite a lot to talk about since. I appreciate the humor I've found and the opportunity to hash out some ideas among some kindred spirits.

If you want to chat about real estate, Lacerte or Quickbooks leave a message for me and I'll get back to you.

To sum up me: I worked as a bookkeeper after high school working my way up the ranks by learning on the job. After my three kids were old enough to be in school, I decided I wanted the sheepskin and after eight years of night and summer school got my CPA license. My sole proprietor employer helped me get through school and made me his partner upon completion. Our partnership lasted twenty years until he retired two years ago. Now I'm finding my way as a sole proprietor myself.

My husband and I have been volunteers in every position possible in local youth sports for almost 30 years. Our grown children are following in our footsteps of trying to give something back to the community and work with kids. We have ten grandchildren as well.

Thanks to all those who have responded to my messages - Nice to meet you!
