| ITALO 299-Please note the client may be able to file as single and claim both girlfriend and child as dependents if they reside with him all year, he provides support and gf income is under $3400. this is a new ruling by IRS retroactive to 2005 and 2006. | |

| Can't split the child, those rules only apply to divorced or separated parents. So 1 parent gets all tax benefits. | |
