I have a client that did floor covering in the Chicago area for a little less than half of 2005. His main home is in North Dakota. Does he need to file an Illinois tax return for this?

I do not practice in IL, but if its like most other states the answer is yes.

He should file in IL, and claim a credit for the taxes paid to IL in ND.
