| Can anyone tell me how to handle this figure located in box 14?? I've never seen it before. All that is printed is: "disqualifying Disp O" and a figure next to it. | |

| The amount is included in Box 1 of the W-2 and will be the cost on Sch D. Must see 1099-B to get sales proceeds. | |

| The income included from the disqualifying disposition of a qualified option is added to the cost of the option (exercise price) to arrive at the basis of the stock. If the stock was sold on the same date as the exercise, the gain or loss on Sch. D will be very small.
The income included in box 1 should be the difference between the fair market value of the stock on the exercise date and the cost of the option (exercise price). | |

| Thank you all so much!! Usual exercises I've seen have been through Merck, where the figures are laid right out for you through their broker.... Again, THANKS!! | |
