This is on the W-2 of a school teacher. I've never seen this before. She is a retirement plan participant so I think it might have to do with that.

Here is the only thing I found about this.

I have one of those also, also a school teacher. And the box on the W-2 for retirement plan is not checked. Client confirmed that she is in a retirement plan and the RET TS amount was the amount deferred.

Chase, I have seen that before and from what I remember, RET is definitely "Retirement" TS was "Tax Shelter Annuity" (TSA)

Thank you all for the above.....I don't think it has any tax impact based upon the comments.

I am a teacher and have a specific amount for RET TS listed in box 14 of my W2. I'm doing my taxes on Turbo Tax and when I enter that code it comes up as unrecognizable. I didn't sign up for a voluntary TSA and only have the state teacher's retirement for California. How do I list this amount and what is it?

ask your employer what it is, ask Turbo tax how to input it.

It probably has no effect on your taxes anyway.
