| I am confused and cannot find the specific answer. does qualified leasehold improvements done during 2005 qualify for the 50% bonus depreciation? i know it qualifies for the 15 year write-off. thank you.

| QLI property is eligible for the 50% bonus. See IRC ยง 168(k)(2)(A)(i)(IV).

| Bonus depreciation is gone! It was only allowed for qualifying MACRS property placed in service after 9/10/01 and BEFORE 1/1/05.

| QLI improvements that are constructed in 2004, but placed in service in 2005 will qualify for the bonus depreciation. However, if all of the construction took place in 2005, RFM is correct -- no bonus would be allowed.
