| What type of billing software do some of the smaller accounting firms use?

| I've used Timeslips for years. I bought a new computer in December and couldn't get the old version loaded onto the new computer and so I bought the Timeslips 2006. HATE IT. I am considering trying once again to get the old version reloaded or switching to another solution.

| Old timeslips was great for billing. You can virtually use any sort of time and billing software however, and quickbooks will work with that too. But I like the industry specific for the soft costs recovery....I guess quickbooks will do that too, but haven't used it do to so....

| QuickBooks has really made some big improvements over the past few years in my opinion. They just recently announced that they will be providing an on-line option for timesheets that sounds very interesting.

| I think Quickbooks invoicing is great. But I don't really care for the timesheet part of it.

| I have used Quickbooks for billing for 10-12 years and it has worked well. I input employee time sheets and it is easy to bill strictly by time or over ride and bill what you feel the work was worth. I generate over 150 invoices a month during tax season and it works well. It will also print the envelopes if you don't like using window envelopes.
