| I've been trying for a week to call the CA FTB to find out the status of an amended tax return refund. I keep getting "we are experiencing high call volume. Please call back." I'm calling 1800 852 5711 (got it memorized). Any ideas? | |

Has it been at least 30 days since the amended return was filed. It not - it has most likely not even been processed. | |

| Thanks for the number Kerry. I called and got thru! They said another 3 weeks. The amended return was filed on 3/16. I guess 5 months is enough time.
The federal check was sent out after 3 months. | |
