| I have a client who paid for barber school for himself. The school was strictly a barber school and not another other type of school. Can he take a tuition credit for this type of school? Is there a website of registered schools this may apply to?

| See Reg 1.25A-2 for definition of an "Eligible Educational Institution."

| If the school has a FAFSA school number, the tuition will qualify for the tuition credit.

| The main problem Im having is that this is a 2006 tax return and the school went out of business. He paid 3,500 for the schooling. And it IS post-secondary education used for his trade. I'm so lost on this one.

| Call FAFSA and ask if students attending this school were eligible for Federal Student Aid in 2006.
