"Can't anyone here play this game??"

Geithner, Rangel and now Daschle.....then too we have that Governor whose does not seem to think the state paying for travel for spouse and children is income, but on that side they usually brazen it out for few hold them accountable.

The really sad part is that this never would have been discovered if he wasn't chosen for cabinet position. You can't tell me that he didn't know about it. How can the IRS let 100K in taxes slide?

Do you think it dawns on these people from whence their paychecks come? "We've found the tax gap, and it is us."

What really drives me nuts is why Daschle owed the taxes - blatantly unreported income and falsely reporting charitable contributions as deductible. If the Senate confirms this guy, I'm going to run for the Senate myself. Of course, they will confirm him because they're all his old buddies and they think Thune stole his seat from him.

I'll NEVER get elected to any office in New Jersey, though - it's almost as bad as Chicago.

Helmsley was right! Only little people pay taxes.

Official: Performance czar withdraws candidacy

D&T ... I still question you for a court case where a governor on official business cannot take family. The President's family flys with him all the time on official business. The Chief Executive officer of a State is different than an employee ... which was the case with the State Department employee.

This is an interesting take on it. These people are just innocent "bunglers". http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D964A48O0&show_article=1

What? Do these people have a tin ear, a tin brain? Especially after witnessing some of the (same) problems that Clinton had early on getting people confirmed.

By the way, I am beginning to feel very left out since I have no live-in domestic help.

Just wanted you guys to be the first to know that I will be holding a press conference at 5 pm to officially suspend my 2010 US Senate campaign due to Tom Daschle's withdrawal.

Heck, I'm an Obama supporter and this makes me mad. For one thing, it's happened before in Clinton's first term. Very close screening should have been done on this issue. Anyway, Daschle does not strike me as the kind of guy you would want to lead a "charge", he seems like more of a supply clerk; so no loss there.

And I can't resist one other thing, if this lady Killefer really is the "bungler" she makes herself out to be, what in the h*ll would she be doing as a "performance czar"?

I see Bernie Kerik has adopted the "Geithner defense" in his trial.....they don't make them like Bernie anymore.
