| Okay, that was poor grammar!
I e-filed 2 returns and have yet to hear back. This has never happened before. Anyone else have this happen? Tom

| were these corporate, partnership or individual? There was another thread where perople had difficulty getting their corp efile acceptances. I efiled individual Sat eve & it was accepted by Monday afternoon, federal & state! | |

| I've efiled all returns so far, and the only one I've had that took more than 24 hours to be accepted was a Form 4868 extension filed on Friday, and it was accepted two days later. | |

| It was 2 individual returns.
I just find it odd. One I got back in less than 24 hours and these two very easy returns are floating out there in cyberspace. I re-verified my conversion and transmittal logs and they say converted and transmitted. Strange.

| Taocpa - Highlight those two clients and then go to Efile/Update Acknowledgements. You might see the status change to accepted. | |

| Deback,
I just tried it and still nothing. I have checked everything for the third and fourth time. It stills says transmitted and that's it. Definitely strange as I always hear back within 48 hours. Tom

| I just transmitted about 6 returns mid-afternoon and when I transmitted one right after supper I received acknowledgments for the previous 6. Was surprised they were ack so fast | |

| I e-filed for my sister in law-a 19 yr. old college student-and it was rejected saying her SS # does not match records. We verified her SS# and DOB and mailed return. What do you think the problem is? | |
| 20 March 2007 | |
| Szychpstk1: Someone has filed using her SS in error. Have had several lkie this over the past couple of years. | |

| I don't think it would say SS# doesn't match records in that case. Usually just that a return with that number has been filed. Usually when the number doesn't match it is a issue with the last name. Does she perhaps have a double last name?? I would look at the social security card to be sure it correct, but I am having an issue with a 1099R. So maybe it in the matching the the IRS is doing. IRS is rejecting saying name and payer ID number do not match. What is odd is that we efile last year with this same pension same name, same number and had no problem. I am at a lost. | |

| You just answered your own question. It is the EIN that is the problem, not the SSN. | |

| Yes on mine it is. But the EIN is the same as last year. The name didn't change. | |

| call the efile desk hotline. they can tell you if the return arrived. It takes about 10 minutes to get thru. | |

| what software do you use ? | |

| FYI, I solved the issue.
My backup computer downloaded the acceptances for the IRS and states. I noticed that it had downloaded a software update and I thought it might have also downloaded the acceptances at that time. Turns out that was the case.
