| Wondering if someone knows what I need to do to get the vechicle info to calculate. Not depreciating auto, but want to use mileage? I entered asset info. for auto and completed the info sheet, but its not calcualting mileage? Do i need to do that myself or does am I missing a box or something I need to check? Only use ATX for LLC, partnerships, etc. so I am still learning it myself. | |

| Is the vehicle assigned to a form? | |

| Is the mileage for a schedule C, E, or unreimbursed employee expenses. Looks like you are asking about a 1040. I can probably help if you let me know what you are doing. | |

| Don't use it this year. Last year, you had to completely fill out the blue lines in the vehicle information sheet, putting zeros if needed but not leaving any blue lines blank. | |

| click the vehicle info tab when in assett manager or use the vehicle info tab on the sch c.
There you will see the lines for putting in the miles

| at the bottom of the screen it should show you total actual expenses and total mileage expenses. Maybe it is using actual. There is a checkbox to force. Or is everything showing up zero. | |

| Bottom of what screen? There is no calulation for the total mileage expenses? Where is box to force it to use mileage instead of actual? I had been on hold with ATX, apparently I got someone who has no idea!! | |

| you should be on the other deductions screen.
then select auto. then hop to asset entry

| When I go to other deductions screen, I see auto, but thats only to enter whatever # you have? Doesnt let you enter asset info from there?
Anyway, I have realized that when doing a 1065, you arent allowed to deduct standard mileage, you have to use actual expenses.
