| have the partnership of 2 partners already done and did not take Sec 179 on any new assets. now in doing the partners personal returns, they could really, really use it. Serves me right for not waiting for all information on all returns first, but partners usually get extensions. Anyway, can I amend the Form 1065 and take some section 179?

| Amend and include the 179 in the 4562. Watch out for the reduce regular depreciation that is on line 1.

| And learning opp. Always take the sec. 179 unless you know of a compelling reason not to. Who needs to keep deprec. schedules? Give them the benefits as quick as you can. Who knows when they close down something later...?

| Unless there's a whole lot more later, and risk free!
