I am wondering if any one can help me with this. We paid agent fee to find a suitable lease for one of our facilitiy. We signed the lease for 5 years, however we paid xx amount to the agent who helped us to find the facility. How should we book the agent fee? Should it be expensed right away or capitalize and amortized over the lease period? Any reference in this matter is highly appreciated.

I will risk saying this, but did you try section 162?
