| I am wondering if anyone had this experience. I have a client who adopted 3 children in 2005 and had adoption credit carried over to this year (2007) return. I entered the carried forward amount from prior year under line 13 (Ln 20 of 2006 worksheet) however when I am entering their name and social on the form adoption credit is caluculating again for this year (2007). Any one know how to enter the adoption credit on Drake software from prior year? Thanks for the help.

| the software didn't automatically carry forward the correct amount from 2006? My Drake shows anything it carrys over in green - I have to confirm the number before it is eligible for efile. | |

| Kevin, I am wondering do I have to still enter the adopted children name and social and year of birth in 8839 even though all the adoption credit is carried forward from last year? Thanks for your help again. | |
