I have never filed a 1099 nor a w-2 electronically. Could someone tell me how to do this. I have a client that need to file a late 1099 and w=2. My understanding is that they have until March 31 to do this.

Do a search, this was discussed extensively in January. But if you aren't signed up to efile all ready, probably too late.

Check out a web site called filetaxes.com. It is pretty inexpensive and files electronically and mails copies to the recipients

SSA.gov for W2s. Also taxsoftware.com for 1099s in addition to the prior discussion.
