| I have a 1099-MISC form. There's no Schedule C form - this isn't Self Employment income. TurboTax won't let me list this under Line 21 (Other Income). Instead, it makes me list it under Line 12 (Business Income).
TurboTax doesn't even offer an "Other" option. Any pointers? Thanks.

| If it in box 7 it self employment income unless you meet one of the exceptions or file form 8919. | |

| have you tried the Turbo Tax website? Or call the company. Or throw away the stupid program and get a real tax professional. | |

| I've tried the website. Unfortunately, a multiple choice format doesn't allow for much change.
I used a different tax program last year in the same situation, but was able to list this under Line 21. I think throwing away TurboTax might be a better idea.

| SW- 1099's aren't binding on the taxpayer, or the Service for that matter. It could have been easily misreported in Box 7. | |

| are you a pro (if not, I agree with Tex CPA) or are you using TT to file your own return? Why is the 1099 not self-employment income?
Just a suggestion, if you are not a pro then ask your question on the TT site not here. taxea
