Trust document indicates there are two equal beneficiaries (sisters) of their deceased father's trust. My client, the trustee, who is one of the beneficiaries says that the trust was closed at the end of '07 and distributed, with the other sister's approval, to her, the trustee only. Apparently the second sister declined her share. What kind of documentation should i insist upon before filing the 1041 in this fashion, in direct contradiction of the trust document?

Write a letter for the sister to sign and notarize so you have something in writing.
