Just sharing a situation I ran into yesterday. Just prepared taxpayer's 2007 return; he qualified for $1,500 stimulus check, but since it's late and 2008 shows too much income to qualify, he gets nothing.

Please correct me if anything has changed. In the meantime, I will break the bad news to him.

On the bright side, he sold a rental with huge passive loss carry forwards, so he still gets a big refund to ease the pain.
