I tend to remember what I have studied. I was zero-knowing 21 years ago when I started. I remember having to look up everything in order to do my first 10 returns. And I probably got them wrong. I know I messed up my first S corp return royally. I still feel bad about it, even though it has been forever. I didn't realize how bad I messed up until I actually took a class on S corps. Thus I recommend all practitioners take the 'difficult' CPE and not the easy CPE. A rubber band is only useful when it is stretched, and once stretched, never returns to its former exact shape.

what that has to do with taxes I don't know, but I do tend to use a lot of rubber bands and I never used to.

Hi Bbackhues, I was out your way in September. I have a friend who lives on McNeil Island. Boy that was an experience staying with him over the weekend. He would be one of the few who reside there NOT wearing an orange jumpsuit.

We clammed, crabbed, and fished. Ended up buying Salmon from the Indians (Native Americans) on the mainland. I tell you, that place is so protected that the crabbing and clamming is pristine - just throw your trap in and two minutes later pull it up with either a small shark or a crab. The clams you could rake your fingers through the sand two inches deep and come up with a handful of steamers every time. Pristine!

The deer came up to his garden every morning and evening to eat the blackberries. I went out there and ate some too, and these three fawns were about 12 feet away. Not frightened because the guns are only used for hunting humans there, not four legged animals. From his house I could hear the bloodhounds barking each night.
